A warming planet: our hot take on the climate crisis
The climate crisis is transforming our planet - rapid transformation is needed, and fast, if we are to prevent catastrophe. Across the globe, communities are facing up to the huge challenges this crisis presents, particularly in the drylands of Africa. Trees must be part of the solution, and communities in the Global South must be supported to enact the huge scale of change required.
Our views on farming & agriculture
Collaborating with farmers is a key component of our approach at Tree Aid. We embrace climate-smart and agroecological methods, working with nature to ensure land and communities remain resilient in the face of climate change.
Our views on drought & land degradation
Desertification, drought and degradation are three huge issues affecting the sub-Saharan drylands of Africa. Made worse by the climate crisis, desertification is making it harder to grow crops, and poverty is increasing. But trees provide a solution.
Working towards a better world
Together with local communities, we influence policy and push for change that protects trees, people, and our planet. Our vision? Resilient communities who have the skills, tools and rights needed to protect their landscapes and grow sustainable businesses.
