Our Finance & Resources team ensure our projects are effectively funded and resourced, including bringing in the right people to lead our work. The team also ensure we have the right policies in place to ensure risk management and safeguarding is at the heart of our work.
Ben Sheahan joined Tree Aid as Director of Finance and Resources in June 2017. Having qualified at Deloitte, he has over 25 years of experience in commercial and international development finance. He has worked in the Gambia, Tanzania and in the UK, most recently as Finance Director of Restless Development. He is experienced in leading international finance teams to deliver transparency and value for money.
Rasmata joined Tree Aid in 2018 and leads our Finance and Resources in West Africa. She has more than 24 years of professional experience in the fields of finance, accounting, resources, auditing, management and internal control. She has worked with several structures on a continuous basis since 1996. She was a member of the senior management team at Save the Children International between 2008 and 2017, responsible for the financial management of projects, grant management, auditing, capacity building, accounting system, research action in reproductive health, and asset management.
Ramesh joined Tree Aid in 2019 as Group Finance & Resources Manager and now heads up the team in the UK. He previously worked at CAMFED International. He began his career in international development after graduating from university in 2013 with a BSc in Mathematics and has since gained over six years of financial and statutory reporting experience within the INGO sector.
Inès joined Tree Aid in 2019 and is passionate about defending general interest and ethical values. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Financial Criminal Law in Paris, she starting working in compliance, risk management, and legal departments in 2013 among different financial institutions. Inès is experienced in designing risk management strategy, overseeing comprehensive risk assessment frameworks, compliance monitoring activities and overseas group internal audit.
