Could provide a family with tools to care for their trees like watering cans, pruning tools, buckets and wheelbarrows.
Could set up a one hectare woodlot with over 840 seedlings that will provide wood for the entire community.
Could grow 100 native trees, restoring Africa's severely degraded drylands.
Could establish an inter-village committee to manage communal sites through soil and water conservation, planting and regeneration.

Why support Tree Aid?

The climate crisis is having a devastating effect on our planet, but communities in the Sahel region of Africa are among the hardest hit. Rising temperatures and erratic weather conditions are making it difficult for families who rely on the land to grow enough food or earn an income. Temperatures have risen by almost 1 degree in the last 30 years – this is nearly double the global average.
